Plants on-Model video

The On-Model type turns a potted monstera into a person presenting, wearing or using the product — a model makes one natural gesture while the camera eases in. For plants that means leaves stirring in a breeze with dappled light, in a clip five to eight seconds long, with the leaf shape, pot glaze and soil level held in every frame.

Every plant in the range can go through the same On-Model settings, so the Shopify collection page and the PDP galleries look like one shoot. Swap On-Model for another type with one click to split-test potted plants, planters and seed kits.

Clip

Rendered in the Studio from one product photo.

What this is for

  • Motion — a model makes one natural gesture while the camera eases in — that keeps the leaf shape, pot glaze and soil level readable
  • A on-Model clip in 9:16 or 16:9, the shapes plant shoppers see on Etsy
  • The same plant rendered as a on-Model and nine other types for split tests
  • Consistent On-Model settings across every plant SKU so the gallery reads as one shoot

Suggested order

  1. 1

Render potted plants, planters and seed kits as a person presenting, wearing or using the product

The On-Model type sets the motion — a model makes one natural gesture while the camera eases in — while keeping the leaf shape, pot glaze and soil level untouched.

  2. 2

    Set the shape for Etsy

9:16 or 16:9 covers the Etsy player; switch it with the shape chips before rendering.

  3. 3

Cut a second on-Model at another shape

Etsy and Shopify use different player shapes; the same plant renders at 9:16 or 16:9 with one click.
