Does the Unboxing type work for glossy or dark potted plants, planters and seed kits?

Yes. The opening frame lights the plant for its material, and the unboxing motion keeps that light consistent. For very reflective potted plants, planters and seed kits, a dark set shows the highlights moving best.

Will my plant stay identical through the unboxing?

The opening frame is painted with instructions to keep the leaf shape, pot glaze and soil level as uploaded, and the Unboxing motion — hands enter from below, lift the product, turn it once and set it down — moves the camera and the light rather than the product. Compare the clip with the plant before you publish.

Which shape should a plants unboxing be?

9:16 is the usual choice; the shape chips in the Studio switch it before rendering. Etsy and Shopify players each have a preferred shape, listed on the platform pages.

Plants unboxing video

For plants, Unboxing means hands lifting the product out of an open box: hands enter from below, lift the product, turn it once and set it down. One photo of a potted monstera in, a unboxing clip out, leaves and pot identical to the source.

Photograph the plant with the label facing the camera before opening the Unboxing type. Set the shape to 9:16 for Etsy, keep the length at six to eight seconds, and render; the opening frame appears first and the unboxing clip follows.
