Eyewear hero Reveal video

For eyewear, Hero Reveal means a cinematic reveal with a traveling light: shadows open and a band of light sweeps across the product as the camera eases in. One photo of a pair of sunglasses in, a hero Reveal clip out, frame and lens identical to the source.

Photograph the pair of sunglasses with the label facing the camera before opening the Hero Reveal type. Set the shape to 16:9 or 9:16 for Shopify, keep the length at five to eight seconds, and render; the opening frame appears first and the hero Reveal clip follows.

What this is for

  • A hero Reveal clip in 16:9 or 9:16, the shapes eyewear shoppers see on Shopify
  • The same pair of sunglasses rendered as a hero Reveal and nine other types for split tests
  • Consistent Hero Reveal settings across every pair of sunglasses SKU so the gallery reads as one shoot
  • Golden beach light sliding across the lenses — the kind of motion a hero Reveal adds to sunglasses and frames

Suggested order

  1. 1

Render sunglasses and frames as a cinematic reveal with a traveling light

The Hero Reveal type sets the motion — shadows open and a band of light sweeps across the product as the camera eases in — while keeping the frame shape, lens tint and temple logo untouched.

  2. 2

    Set the shape for Shopify

16:9 or 9:16 covers the Shopify player; switch it with the shape chips before rendering.

  3. 3

Render a still of the pair of sunglasses first

Four credits to approve the setting before the hero Reveal clip is billed; the still becomes the opening frame.
